Andrea Kirsopp
Legal Adviser
Bio
Growing up in Yorkshire ("God's own country!"), Andrea always loved numbers. She wanted to be a maths teacher. Her parents and teachers expected it too. Then came a summer placement at a financial services company that changed everything.
After her first year studying Mathematics, Statistics and Computing at Manchester Metropolitan University, she was offered a position as a trainee Broker with the company where she'd spent her summer. She left university to take it. Meeting new people daily, she realised her personality and her technical ability were perfectly aligned.
Andrea built her career in Financial Planning and has been advising clients consultatively her entire working life. Today, as a Will Adviser and Estate Planner, she brings that same approach to her work at Amadeus. She meets with clients face to face and remotely, providing advice that's customised to each person's specific needs. She has a gift for taking complex information and explaining it clearly and concisely. She's meticulous, with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail. Colleagues describe her as a perfectionist, hardworking and conscientious. Clients appreciate that she's with them every step of the way.
When she's not working, you're likely to find Andrea on a long walk, on the badminton court, or catching up with friends over a coffee or cocktail. She adores her nieces and nephews and loves hearing about their achievements and adventures. She also puppy-shares her sister's cockapoo, Evie, a little teddy bear of a dog who makes her smile every single day. And when she can, she travels to Australia to visit family on the Gold Coast, where there are beach walks aplenty – though nothing quite compares to the gorgeous walks back home in the Yorkshire Dales.
