Paul Goodwin

Senior Legal Adviser

Bio

Amadeus doesn't have an official Chief Creative Officer. But if we did, the chances are it would be Paul.

A talented pianist who performs recitals for charity, Paul worked for many years as an interior designer, creating bespoke furniture to turn dreams into reality. He now directs his creative energy and listening skills into helping families protect themselves from the pitfalls of the intestacy rules.

Paul stumbled upon his life's calling when lockdown arrived with redundancy in tow. The challenge of a late career change turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he now draws immense satisfaction from helping people put their affairs in order.

A caring, thoughtful adviser who will go out of his way to help, Paul has a knack for making the complex simple and a gift for holding a conversation with people on most subjects. Clients describe him as "considerate in the extreme" and appreciate him for his "excellent support and honest guidance".

Paul has lived and worked in Spain, Portugal and Thailand, where he met and married his wife. Father to 5 adult children, he's also stepfather to his wife's 2 children.

Better late than never, he wishes he'd become an estate planner years ago. If he were to give one piece of advice to an aspiring legal adviser, it would be to listen to clients and learn that no two people are the same.
